Those grieving the loss of their companion animals are left in a limbo given the disenfranchised form of grief it is. Company and support of kindred souls can help in some way to navigate through the loss. There is rising propaganda against stray dogs aimed at whipping up hysteria that has a long-lasting ripple effect. So, here is a small effort to counter that by sharing some real-life episodes in the subsequent posts, that the two of us have experienced on the streets while tending to strays over the years. 12 0

Our Kaabri was a happy-go-lucky dog with soulful eyes. She was that one dog who would mingle with everyone; humans and dogs alike. When she came running, she appeared to be like a rolling drum. She was symbolic of hope even when things were not bright. Her sudden demise was a huge shock, but her memories and that of her pack live on in our hearts. 11 1
Whether stray or pet, companion animals mean the world to many of us. Their loss certainly hurts because emotions of true and unconditional love are involved. That said, it is equally important to transition onto honouring those beloved departed souls although the grief of their loss will stay forever no matter the passage of time. 12 1
