Natasha, our three legged hero dog has been valiantly battling autoimmune thrombocytopenia since the 5th of June 2021. She even underwent a successful blood transfusion once exactly two years ago today, thanks to Harry and his owner, Ms. Biswas who gave Natasha a chance at life. In the picture is a shabby zombie me after sleepless nights when Natasha’s condition had spiralled down in those days. We were relieved after the blood transfusion as it did help save her life. The happiness was short lived as the transfusion only increased the value of platelets to 33k. She is on daily medication for autoimmune thrombocytopenia and hemolytic anemia. In these two years, Natasha has shown the door to death countless times with her impeccable spirit of life even though she has bled profusely at times. She even had a 6k value once and was absolutely cool about it, trying to chase the cat in the backyard. She reminds me of Jalebi so often. A cat has many lives, but dogs like Natasha have countless.
