Butter, in whose memory Bridging Rainbows initiative has been made, was raised like a princess. She had an overflowing toy cupboard, gifted to her by her human father and our close friends, collected for her from home and abroad. She barked ordered me everyday to have the cupboard opened and then she decided which toy she wanted to play with. Her favourite ones, a turkey and an octopus, are placed right beside my bed ever since she left. Most of her other toys have been given to the senior dogs, handicapped dogs, blind dogs, terminally ill dogs, motherless pups who come home to us to begin their new chapter of life.
