Only a handful of stray dogs get to see senior age. Then, one day, they are conveniently picked up (for reasons unknown) by those who will never show their face, never provide their number and locals will practice omerta. Where the dog has been taken, what for, by whom and why is the dog never brought back to the place he/she was picked up from remains a forever mystery. This happened with our Dholu two days ago, a perfectly healthy for his age, sterilised and vaccinated stray dog. None of the local shelters have him.
Dholu was under our care for every single day for more than a decade. Can we please let the senior stray dogs live in peace?
